Rad Saver — Privacy Policy

Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 2025  ·  Rad Creative / radcreative.work

The short version: Rad Saver stores your data locally in your own browser. Nothing you save, tag, or note is ever sent to us or any third party. We don't have a server. We don't collect analytics. We don't know you exist.

1. Who we are

Rad Saver is a Chrome extension created by Rad Creative (radcreative.work). You can contact us at mgmt@radcreative.work.

2. What data the extension accesses

When you navigate to linkedin.com/my-items/saved-posts, Rad Saver reads the following information from the page content that is already visible to you in your browser:

  • Post text and author names

  • Author headline and profile photo URLs (from LinkedIn's CDN)

  • Thumbnail image URLs (from LinkedIn's CDN)

  • Post URLs and relative timestamps

The extension does not access any other LinkedIn pages, your messages, your connections list, your profile settings, or any other data.

3. Where your data is stored

All captured post data is stored exclusively in chrome.storage.local — a storage area that lives entirely within your browser on your device. This data never leaves your browser unless you explicitly export it yourself using the CSV export feature.

Any tags, notes, and organisational data you create in the board are also stored in chrome.storage.local on your device only.

4. Data we do not collect

Rad Saver does not collect, transmit, or store any data on external servers. Specifically:

  • No analytics or usage tracking

  • No crash reporting

  • No personal identifiers

  • No IP addresses

  • No cookies set by us

  • No data shared with third parties

We have no server infrastructure that receives data from this extension.

5. Permissions used and why

  • storage — to save your captured posts and board data locally in your browser

  • activeTab — to read the content of your LinkedIn saved posts page when you visit it

  • tabs — to open the board page and LinkedIn links from the extension popup

  • windows — to open video posts in a small popup window

  • host permission: linkedin.com — to allow the content script to run on your LinkedIn saved posts page only

6. Third-party services

Rad Saver loads fonts from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com) on the onboarding and board pages. This is a standard web request and subject to Google's Privacy Policy. No post data is included in this request.

Thumbnail images displayed in your board are loaded directly from LinkedIn's CDN (media.licdn.com). These are the same URLs LinkedIn uses to show images in your browser normally.

7. Data deletion

You can delete all stored data at any time by clicking Clear All Saves in the extension popup or on the board. Uninstalling the extension from your browser also removes all locally stored data.

8. Children's privacy

Rad Saver is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

9. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
